Divine Liturgy for the Great Feast of Theophany Eve followed by the Blessing of Water was celebrated on Saturday, January 18th. Our parish celebrated the Feast of Theophany on Sunday, January 19th with Divine Liturgy and the Blessing of Water followed by the Women's Fellowship Coffee Hour Fundraiser for all.
Holy Theophany or Epiphany is one of the greatest Feast days celebrated in the calendar of the Orthodox Church. The Feast day of Theophany or Epiphany is celebrated on the 6th of January each year. On this day we celebrate the great event of the Baptism of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the waters of the Jordan River. The Theophany, or Epiphany as it is also known, is the centre point and climax of the Holy Twelve days following the Birth of Christ.
